[Yoyo Chen] has become in great demand among producers. Next month, she will be filming two series simultaneously; in one of them, she has even been confirmed to level up to the first female lead!
A beauty pageant series led by Eric Tsang and conceptualized with longtime friend and executive producer of "AI Romantic" Chan Kiu Ying was originally TVB's grand co-production between China and Hong Kong this year. However, executive Felix To's resignation has led to changes to this series' co-production plan, and the funding has been cut. The original plan to find an outsider to play the first female lead has been halted for now. In order to retain this novel series project, TVB has decided to fully fund the shoot, and the original outsider first female lead role has fallen into Yoyo's hands in the end; Eric and Chan Kiu Ying both think that she is a suitable candidate. In the series, Yoyo will infiltrate a beauty pageant as a policewoman to investigate a case, going through a beauty pageant with Crystal Fung, Jessica Kan, et al. Yeung Chiu Hoi, who also participated in the programme "Dub-of-War" and won the praise of netizens, will play a television station producer in the series, acting in scenes with each other.
In addition, Yoyo has also appeared in the cast list of the new series "Stealth Team", starring Ruco Chan. It is known that TVB feels that the combination of Ruco, Ben Wong, and Cheung Wing Hong has brought good ratings to "Sinister Beings", which just finished airing, and has decided to let them bring out their chemistry again in "Stealth". Apart from Yoyo, Natalie Tong, Katy Kung, et al. are also among the female characters. The series will have a police theme, using case stories to link the characters. Since the two series both start filming next month, no wonder Yoyo already said in an interview earlier that she was worried that she would not have time to spend the summer holiday with her daughter, and could only entrust her to her family's care.
