Bowie talks about his whereabouts, as he is not seen on TV. He mentions hosting 《敦煌》, and that he has filmed "Pearl in the Palm", "Heaven and Earth", and he is filming "Mind Reading Detective". He likes all three of his characters in these three series. He also talks about him playing the drums in "Heaven and Earth".

Bowie talks about his first collaboration with Elaine Jin in the 1987 movie "People's Hero". He talks about Chan Hung Lit's sudden passing. Bowie talks about his relationship with his father. Bowie does not like it when his father crosses his arms while sitting down, so Bowie would 'deduct' 300HKD from his father's allowance if he does it.
Bowie was very happy to take on the role in "Mind Reading Detective" because he believes that he would be able to play the character well, as he is a very detailed guy.
Cha Siu Yan: "You're a very meticulous person".
Bowie: "Yes, that is why when I first accepted the character in Mind Reading Detective, I liked it very much".
Cha Siu Yan: "It resembles you?"
Bowie: "Because I believe that I am able this detailed character".
Cha Siu Yan: "Very considerate".
Bowie: "I was very happy when I first got the script! Good Mind Reading Detective!"
Cha Siu Yan: "Do you find it hard when you are this considerate?"
Bowie: "Yes! There are times you will expect...expect your acting partner to act with you. Your standards will become high, but it will not work, as it is not yourself, and not everyone is yourself. Thus, you will demote your level a bit, as that person is like that. If you demote again, and that person is like that, then I'll leave it at that, and I will not say anything".
Cha Siu Yan: "Your partners are quite...and in sync with one another".
Bowie: "Yes, very in sync!"
Cha Siu Yan: "But, they all have expectations".
Bowie: "Of course".
Cha Siu Yan: "It's rare for you to demote yourself for them".
Bowie: "I'm happy, as a majority of them have expectations. Because it is already 2010, and if you still act like this one, then you leave, so be careful. There will bound to be one to replace your position, as people only watch your acting. You are not the judge on how well you acted. It is the viewers who tell you if you have acted well or not".

Bowie talks about working with Teresa Mo and Damian Lau when he first started to film TV series. He praises them as they have 'placed money in his pocket, but do not need him to give change back'.
Cha Siu Yan: "Have you repaid back to society by placing money in others' pockets?"
Bowie: "It depends on the person!"
Cha Siu Yan: "What does it depend on?"
Bowie: "Well, if you see the guy talking on his phone before he is finished filming, and saying 'Okay, okay, there is only two more scenes left to film. I'm coming. You guys starting singing first'. Those people can just shut up!"
Cha Siu Yan: "Don't bother to care about those people".
Bowie: "You have basically wasted your breath, as on the surface, he may seem sincere in listening to your advice, but he may be one of those people. So, it's a waste of breath".
Cha Siu Yan: "He even forgot Hurry up and sing!"
Bowie: "He probably had already forgotten, so it's a waste of breath".
Cha Siu Yan: "Since you are so strict, what will you do if a co-star arrives late and leaves early? Will you get angry?"
Bowie: "The producer will deal with it. We won't...these artistes do not exist anymore".
Cha Siu Yan: "They have been erased already!"
Bowie: "There aren't any of these artistes anymore. Even if there is, then they have big people backing them up, and they are still able to film series".
Cha Siu Yan: "Really? There are a lot of these people (back ups)?
Bowie: "Sure there are!"
Cha Siu Yan: "I thought TVB doesn't have these things!"
Bowie: "There are [these back ups] definitely. Why wouldn't there be any? Then I will say, If he is here, then I will not be here! That's it!"
Cha Siu Yan: "You will avoid and state it in the beginning".
Bowie: "Yes. I will ask what co-stars will be in here. If he is in it, then okay...I will be honest...because I don't know how to put on a fake mask, and discuss it over dinner that I do not want to film. I will tell the truth, and the truth is this...I don't want film. That's it!"
Cha Siu Yan: "Thank you, Bowie!"
Bowie: "Thank you, Siu Yan Jeh!"
Personal Note: I wonder which actor Bowie was referring to who made him demote a level for? o_0 It has to be a youngen actor who has been acting for a while. No wonder Bowie wants to learn how to read if people are lying or not because, like he had mentioned on his blog, a lot of artistes in "Mind Reading Detective" have gone up to him, and said that they admire him, and have always wanted to work with him. Who is the the big butt kisser?
So is he talking about someone who is young, sing and act at the same time, and has quite a lot of people backing him up? I have to check the cast list for this series.

About the Wong He rumour I'm curious too. Wong He explicitly clarified that he and Kevin are not compatible which means Wong Hei-Kevin rumours do has some truth but about WH-Bowie fight during hosting a variety show many years ago is still puzzling.

It has to be a youngen guy that has executives backing him up in his career. He may be in TV, singing, and in movies. To be honest, I think it is Bosco, as he is seems like a two-faced guy. I say this because Sammul Chan said that one of the 'Six Olympics' smeared him behind his back. Sammul said that his person is nice in front of his face, but he would say bad things about Sammul behind his back.

It cannot be Wong He, as Wong He is not a karaoke kind of guy. Plus, why would Bowie demote himself to at He's level? He is a good actor. Plus, He is not a youngen.

Yes, He openly talked about his rumours with Kevin Cheng. He basically admitted that he and Kevin Cheng do not get along. Whereas, he did not say anything along the same line towards the rumoured disagreements with Bowie. But, during the last episode of the variety show 《江山美人》Bowie did not host it, and was replaced by Ha Yu.

I know it happened in 2006, but even until this date, I do not know what happened.
Tabloids and Miss Lok have used the word "troublesome" to describe He, but Liza Wang did not find him "troublesome", as she had a great time working with him in "A Matter of Customs".
She even gave him pointers on performing on stage as a singing in 2001. Now, if He was "troublesome", wouldn't Liza be the first one to speak up?
Sorry, but I can't understand why all of you very like to guess without even what is the truth behind, esp about Bosco. Sammul didn't say clearly, and all of you say it's Bosco. How many percent you know about Bosco, how many percent you know about Sammul. Cha Yiu San herself many times praises Bosco, so could I say Bosco is a good person. Obviously I won't. But just base on other lines, I say that it's Bosco. It's really ridiculous. If Bosco has many people backing him up, he won't have much rotten roles in recent years.
ReplyDeleteOne more thing I must say, I see many artists say alot about their non-good friends, but I never see Bosco says bad things about anyone. I don't know what is his real nature, but at least he doesn't say anything that opposited to others.

Bowie and Sammul said that that person acts as if he or she is sincere, but in fact, he or she is not.
Executive backup does not equal producer favourite. Executives can tell a producer to cast a certain artiste, but that person does not necessarily have a good role or a big role.
Wow, so if Bowie and Sammul said about in-sincere person, it must be Bosco. Seeing you make many comments on Bosco, as if you're a psychologyst.
ReplyDeleteBosco wouldn't be dumb to say bad things in front of people. So saying real bad things about other would be good. He's a sweet talker, so he must be a bad person ? Nothing on earth is absolutely right or wrong, so is it neccessary to affirm a person is bad just base on other lines.
Excutive can cast a certain artist, but only favorites would ve given good or big roles.

Thing is, He is very strongwilled. I would never describe him as troublesome tho. But Mis Lok, I mean, she only like handsome, six packs kinda guys who are willing to say yes to everything she says. Too bad He only has 6 packs and lacks the other things. hehe
I think it isn't Bosco because if it was Bosco that means Bowie found out in Gem that Bosco is like that, but if he won't work with the person again they/he won't be in 'mind reading' unless their story lines are totally separate, which I doubt since Bosco is under Bowie's police team. I think Bowie is just referring to overall what he would do and not really pointing at someone.

Bosco mentioned in "The Gem of Life" that he REALLY wanted to work with Bowie, but they didn't have any scenes together.
A lot of youngens must have gone up to Bowie and said to him that they really want to LEARN from him. Bowie mentioned on his blog that he would like to take some courses on how to detect if people are lying to him. I guess Bowie can feel it if people are not sincere towards him. When Bowie was asked if he would teach people, he responded, "It depends on the person".
Raymond's family knows Mrs. Lei Hau Woh, she did not have anything to do with him going into acting/singing. Like he said before, he had to work his way up. From TVB's 13th Acting Class, to kelefe, to TVBS (now TVB8 host, as he was the only guy in his class that could speak fluent Mandarin) to supporting lead, to second lead, to leading male, and then finally becoming a singer.
