"Big White Duel" Has Ratings of 32.1 Points, Roger Kwok Hopes to Film a Sequel

Artistes Roger Kwok, Kenneth Ma, Ali Lee, Natalie Tong, Matthew Ho, Stephen Wong, et al. appeared at TVB City to attend a celebration party for the series "Big White Duel". There were ten tables. The seven-day cross-platform consolidated ratings of this series' finale was 32.1 points, attracting over 2,100,000 viewers. He said in an interview, "Now, the ratings were 32.1 points. Would have been better if it was 0.9 points more. The higher the ratings, the better. (Filming a sequel?) Hope so. Surely with the original cast. Preferably within a year. If two or three years later, it would be dragged on for too long, and the viewers would forget it. Actually, when the producer finished editing the series, already said that a sequel had to be filmed. (You are free?) Don't know, but it is quite difficult to gather all the actors together. Everyone is so busy".

Speaking of his trip to Europe with his 11-year-old son, he said, "Actually, I want him to know how different ethnicities live. Did not expect him to have such endurance. Sometimes had to push the luggage for 15 minutes after getting off the train. (What do father and son want to challenge next time?) Want to go to a colder place in the future. (Did your daughter get jealous?) I owe her one (trip) then. She is a very heart-warming girl. Understanding and did not complain. (Did your wife worry about you guys?) Let [her] know that [we] were safe every day. The most unforgettable was seeing a lot of refugees in Naples, Italy. Other people reminded me that we should not even wear watches. It's best to not even carry bags, so as to avoid getting robbed. However, we did not stay that long. It was quite okay the entire time".

Choosing Natalie Tong or Ali Lee? Kenneth Ma Wants Both

Artiste Kenneth attended a celebration party for the series "Big". Regarding filming a sequel, he said, "Have to see the copy editors' ideas. If they feel that the story is already at its end, then there is no point in forcing it. It would be good to leave with a pretty ending. However, if a sequel is really getting filmed, I would also be pleased to do it. Filmed very happily this time. (Everyone has opinions about you choosing Natalie and Ali.) Everyone can have a different perception. All in all, each has her own merits. If you were to ask me, why not both? (Ali said that it has been explained in the storyline that she has died...cannot film the sequel.) What? It just explained that a shot was heard. Maybe she snatched the gun!"

Later, Kenneth will start work on the series "Line Walker III". When it comes to preparations, he said, "Because the ending of the previous installment made it clear that I have to avenge my elder brother, Moses Chan, I took some time to revisit the plot, especially Moses' arc. (A villain for the first time?) Really have not seriously tried it before. Don't know how it'll be, but also greatly anticipating it. (Physical training?) May have to run in the street, but there are more gunfights".

Making Money from Mainland Shows

It was mentioned that he had revealed that he has accepted a few stage performances in Mainland. Although the incident of Simon Yam being attacked happened, he is not too worried about his safety: "Partnering Edwin Siu for one of the appearances. He said that he will be wearing armour. If anything happens, pushing him out to withstand it first. Ha ha!" (Have you encountered passionate fans in Mainland before?) There was a time when I was doing a stage performance at a night club. Below the stage, there was a guest who had gotten very drunk. Didn't expect [him] to throw a durian on the stage. Seeing the durian and [him] being so drunk, really could not help but laugh".

Ali Lee Afraid of Having No Part in Filming the Sequel, Producer: 'If She Has No Part, Then I Have No Part'

In the ending of the TVB series "Big", not knowing whether Ali is alive or dead has been a hot topic among netizens. When she attended the celebration party, she said, "I asked the copy editor. He said that he wanted to bring out the idea that life is impermanent. He was very good. Did not film my corpse. Not as pitiful as 'Never' in 'Legal Mavericks'; dying from falling off a cliff even had to be filmed". Regarding a sequel, she expressed not being aware of it at the moment: "Perhaps it is because my character has died that I would have no part in the next installment. If resurrected, that would be too weird".

Producer Marco Law indicated that he does not want a worthless sequel to a masterpiece, admitting that the higher-ups had proposed filming a sequel to him, but he feels that the script should be first...certainly cannot come into fruition within this year. When talking about Ali's worries about not having a part in the sequel, Marco immediately said, "Surely have to have the original cast in order for it to work. If she has no part, then I also have no part!"
