TVB series "Big White Duel" will have its finale on Friday (12th). In the episode that airs [tomorrow], while operating on a patient, 'Kennis' (played by Ali Lee), who has a heart tumour, suddenly becomes ill again, urgently calling 'Tong Ming' (played by Kenneth Ma) to help out. 'Tong Ming' persuades her to receive treatment: 'Hope that you leave your heart to me'. 'Kennis' finally listens to his advice. 'Tong Ming' even personally operates on her.
In an interview, Kenneth said that, in this scene, he had to persuade Ali to not give up in the rain, frankly saying that it was quite labourious: "The director asked for one long shot. Didn't want it broken up through editing, but we also had to accommodate the environments and the artificial rain. The dialogue was also very long; that scene was filmed quite labouriously, but the outcome was quite good!" For the scene where Ali was getting operated on, the doctor on site who guided us during the shoot said that the surgery was removing the heart's cancer cells; it is a very forward thing in the medical world, and the difficulty is quite high. Before I filmed this series, did not know that this could be done at all. Hope that the viewers pay attention to it! In the series, apart from romantic storylines, the operating room scenes are really great. Found many teams and doctors to look at the script. All the surgeries were performed under reasonable circumstances...taken quite seriously".
