After watching the clip over 3 times last night, my sisters and I couldn't help but scream for Ma Ming. No wonder all the girls (i.e., Myolie Wu, Nancy Wu, Christine Ng, Angela Tong, and Grace Wong) were showing their support for him by cheering him on and screaming his name. Netizens post these clips like an hour after it airs on TV.

In the beginning of the clip, Carol (Dodo) Cheng asked the girls to describe the next contestant, which was Kenneth, and it was so funny.

Christine Ng: He has dark skin.
Myolie Wu: His last name is 'Ma'.

After his dance, the Hunan host even said that Kenneth has good relations with the female artistes because they were screaming his name and cheering him on. "Ma Kwok Ming!" "Ahhhhh!" "Woo!" "Ma Ming!" In the clip, you can see and hear Nancy Wu say, "One, two, Ma Ming!" Later, all the girls scream "Ma Ming!" He is so loved by all of them. Hehehe...

The next guys and girls' dance performances will not be on until April 24th and 25th. They will also be eliminating one guy and one girl. After the first round, the nine guys and nine girls will be paired up. I really want to see Ma Ming dance the Paso Doble with Nancy Wu. He should be man enough for the dance. Hehe...

"Strictly Come Dancing II"

The second season of the reality dance competition, hosted by TVB and Hunan TV, has kicked off tonight with the male competitors.

Just like last year, 10 artistes represent TVB and 10 artistes represent Hunan TV. TVB has sent Nancy Wu, Grace Wong, Myolie Wu, Angela Tong, Christine Ng, Derek Kwok, Timmy Hung, Kevin Cheng, Kenneth Ma, and Eddie Kwan to represent their TV station.

The competition officially kicked off tonight with the guys being the first ones dancing. The girls will dance tomorrow night.

The scores for the guys from the judges for the first night are as follows:

Eddie Kwan - 8.0 average
Kevin Cheng - 8.0 average
Timmy Hung - 8.5 average
Kenneth Ma - 8.5 average
Derek Kwok - 7.25 average

Even though Eddie and Kevin Cheng were tied on scores from the judges, Eddie seemed to be more well-liked by the audience.

Kenneth impressed the judges with his smile and courageous effort. He was also praised by Teacher Chou on his professionalism. Kenneth also has many supporters from the audience.

I hope Kenneth can make it to the doubles because I would like to see him and Nancy Wu dance the Paso Doble.

Sammul Chan Filming 《學警狙擊》

Sammul Chan’s recipe for a fit body:

1) Thai boxing twice a week, gym workout twice a week, and jogg 3-4 times a week for one hour.
2) 150 sit-ups and 60 push-ups per day.
3) One bowl of oatmeal and one bottle of calorie-burning drink; skip one meal; cut back on oil, sugar, carbohydrates, and salt. Drink plenty of water, eat more protein, and eat more fruits and vegetables before a meal.
4) Eat at least 1-2 regular meals with a variety of foods with plenty of vitamins.
5) Take multivitamin pills, EPA pills, and 清血納豆 pills.
6) Exercise on workout machines 2-3 times a week.

Myolie Wu, Selena Li, and Sharon Chan were in Hunan, China on March 11, 2008. The host asked them some questions and their answers were quite interesting. However, there was a certain part that I had to translate. Enjoy!

Host: What are your standards for the perfect guy?

Myolie: Obviously, I hope he is taller than I am.
Sharon: How about handsome?
Myolie: Handsome? He can't be too good looking! Ha ha!
Sharon: He has to be taller than me.
Selena: Does he have to be taller than you when you put on your heels?
Sharon: No, I won't wear them. However, I like guys with a little fat and a little tummy. I feel it gives me a sense of security.
Myolie: I like guys who are fit and strong!
Sharon: Selena, you like guys who know how to dance?
Selena: Guys look good when they dance!
Sharon: My standards are different from theirs, so we won't be fighting over the same guy!
Selena: I like guys who are cute with a good sense of humour.
Sharon: Do you like guys who sing?
Selena: Well, singing is really relative. As long as he is cute, then I'll like him. But, no tummy! Ha ha!

Host: Sharon talked about outer appearance, what about personality?

Sharon: He has to be filial, very filial.
Myolie: I like guys who are optimistic because I'm not a very optimistic person. He has to have good relations with my family and know how to get along with them. He must like cats because I have nine cats. If he has cat allergies, then I'll break up with him. Sorry!

Host: What wouldn't you look for in a guy?

Sharon: Smoking. Even though I have friends who smoke, I really don't like them when they smoke. Out of 10 of my friends, six of them smoke. I really don't like guys when they smoke.
Selena: Gambling, too. I don't like that either.
Sharon: Horse bets, too. I really don't like that.
Selena: He should be healthy, too.
Myolie: How about if he swears?
Selena: No way! He can't even yell at me!
Sharon: But he can hit her. Ha ha!
Selena: No, he can't!

Host: Since we are on the topic of men, which male artiste worked with you 3 the most?

Myolie: My fans counted for me, and I actually worked with Kenneth Ma the most.
Sharon: I even hosted 2 shows with him in Hong Kong.
Selena: Even magazine shoots, it is with Kenneth.
Sharon: He is very famous!
Myolie: Ha ha!

Host: What is your deepest impression of him?

Sharon: He is very nice and very filial.
Selena: He is very real, but there are times when he pretends to be naughty.
Sharon: And he doesn't smoke.
Myolie: You should marry him then!
Sharon: I like big tummies!
Myolie: Haha

Personal Note: The second last question that the host asked basically wanted the 3 of them to talk about Kenneth. They obviously worked with him the most, and they always have good things to say about him.

Kate Tsui Wins 'Best Newcomer' @ 27th Hong Kong Film Awards

Congratulations to Kate for winning 'Best Newcomer' at the 27th Hong Kong Film Awards! Kate is one of the few TVB-ers in recent years to win a major award in HK's movie industry.

TVB is probably going to boost up her name by airing one of her series soon. "The Four" will definitely be out soon, but shouldn't TVB air "Speech of Silence"? After all, that is her official lead role in there.

徐子珊憑《跟蹤》奪得最佳新演員獎，她領獎時強忍淚水，哽咽答謝所有人。

事後，她興奮說：「最開心與該片導演游乃海雙雙得獎（新晉導演），大家合作得好開心、好難忘。未來我會以新人的身分繼續努力，不會鬆懈。可惜的是我每次得獎，父母都不在港，但他們之前已透過WebCam預先恭喜我。」

All About MC

(Photo 1) These are pictures of my first and second telephone conversation with Moses and first encounter with him. Also included is the "Tak Tak Dei" trucker's hat and greetings from Moses during Christmas and New Year. Many thanks to Yan @ MC Hall for the pictures and the KOCARS calendar.

(Photo 2) Ming Pao Weekly truly does have the nicest pictures. This photo includes two scrapbooks made from various magazine cuttings, 3 MP posters, and a picture of Moses holding a lucky pocket that I gave him last Chinese New Year.

(Photo 3) This Moses section includes most of the cut outs from Ming Pao Weekly. However, this isn't all of the pictures from magazines. I left out his "Shall We Talks" and a whole bunch of TVB Weekly interviews and pictures.

Many other Moses related items have been left out. They include "Tak Tak Dei" key chain, "All About Men" autographed picture (exclusively from MC Hall), CD, HK pictures, and many more.

P.S. My favourite male artiste (HK) isn't Moses; it is actually Chi Lam.

Ming Pao Weekly Fan

Oh, that's right! I have been a Ming Pao reader for over 16 years. Even though I couldn't read a single Chinese character back then, I have always been a Ming Pao Weekly fan because I would cut out pictures of my favourite artistes and collect them. My very first cut outs were of Julian Cheung Chi Lam and Joey Meng Yee Man.

There are two main reasons why I enjoy Ming Pao magazines so much. One, Ming Pao never exaggerates the news. They are accurate and they will not distort the truth. Two, they have very nice pictures, and they are easy to cut.

Apart from TVB series and Chinese songs, I can say Ming Pao Weekly deserves credit for teaching me how to read Chinese.

TVB 'Flower' Dans II

Melissa Ng - Melissa and lilies both possess purity and majestic beauty. Her low-profile manner and tendency to repel negative news and rumours with other male artistes define purity. Her low-profile attitude even hid away the fact she was secretly married in 2003. Even with the nickname of 'Beauty' (美人), her beauty is not arrogant, but rather gentle and elegant.

Myolie Wu - Jasmine flowers represent good humour and friendliness. Myolie's comedic abilities can range from different genres of series from "Wars of In-Laws" and "To Grow with Love" to "Wars of In-Laws II". If she can improve on her crying abilities, there is no doubt that TVB will name her the next 'fa dan'.

Bernice Liu - The sunflower is a great representation of Bernice's bubbly attitude and character. Her smile is like the sunshine; it is very infectious. Bernice also emits an active and healthy vibe through her westernized roots.

Yoyo Mung - The simplicity of the daisy flower is the most definitive characteristic to describe Yoyo. Her characters do not require any special attributes because the beauty of Yoyo's roles is best expressed in a subtle and effortless manner.

Tavia Yeung - "牡丹雖好，還需綠葉扶持" means "Peonies are nice, but they still need the leaves and stem for support". In other words, it means, "Even one person with great abilities cannot succeed without the abilities of others for support". However, do not underestimate the versatility of Tavia's acting skills. She is able to control her acting and emotions very well. Also, peonies symbolize Chinese art and of the 'small flowers' Tavia is the only one that possesses ancient beauty which is similar to Ada Choi.

If TVB actually acknowledges Tavia, she will definitely be tomorrow's 'fa dan'.
