'TV King' Kenneth Ma, who has been in the industry for 20 years, is playing the major antagonist for the first time in "Line Walker: Bull Fight". Although he has an abundance of acting experience, he is not an expert at everything. Kenneth frankly said that the role was challenging: "There was some difficulty! Because [I] am always being upright characters, the image of being upright and slightly foolish that Kenneth Ma gives people is too deep; perhaps the audience may not accept it, but actors greatly enjoy being antagonists. Before, it was already a lot of fun being the thief king in 'Tiger Cubs'. Was really very excited to hear that [I] would be the antagonist...acting for so many years [because I] have been waiting for these challenges". He even frankly said that he has become addicted to being an antagonist because there is a lot of room for execution. Plus, the scripts nowadays are written very ingeniously...would not make the viewers averse to it.
Praises Raymond Lam for Keeping a Childlike Heart
He, who won 'TV King' for "Big White Duel" last year, is defending his title and competing for 'TV King' again this year; however, the difficulty of an antagonist winning an award has greatly increased. He said, "Really do not know. It really is fewer for antagonists. See the reaction when it comes out. I am not nervous about awards. Joined the industry because [I] like to act. Enjoy the role first. It seems that some actors like to film big productions...feel that it would be easy to win awards, but I would also not like to just film big productions. Actors should try a bit of everything".
Kenneth and Raymond Lam were both a part of the 'Olympic Six Stars' promoted by TVB back then, so they collaborated seamlessly. This time, collaborating again in "Line" after more than ten years, he said, "Raymond has not changed much...also still very childlike at heart. Being together, it feels the same as before. Perhaps you have to be very childlike at heart when you are in this industry. I am also very playful...would also be very excited to get new roles".
