Starring Kenneth Ma, Sisley Choi, Samantha Ko, and Tony Hung, the TVB series "The Airport Diary" talked about the daily operations of the Hong Kong International Airport. This series received the full support of the Airport Authority; its filming had also been praised for being realistic and down-to-earth. The series finished airing last week and received a good rating of 21.9 points. Compared with the rating of 20.3 points recorded for the cross-platform live broadcast of the first-line series in 2023, it increased by 1.6 points, which means that the average number of viewers per minute of this series increased from 1,307,000 to 1,421,000. The series was also loved by viewers of all ages, especially those with high positions, high education, and shopping decision makers; the number of viewers in these categories increased by over 20 percent.
"Airport" is also very popular in Mainland. The number of viewers in the Guangdong province soared, with an average of nearly 1,400,000 viewers per minute. Compared with the total average ratings of first-line series from last year, it increased by 34 percent, surpassing the hit series "The QUEEN of News", "Narcotics Heroes", and "The Invisibles". Overall, "Airport" had a cumulative audience of 10,600,000 viewers in Hong Kong and the Guangdong province. The cumulative streaming views of this series on myTV SUPER reached 1,468,665 times, placing fourth in the rewatch ranking. In addition, the clips of the series released by TVB's official accounts on major social media platforms have been viewed over 9,000,000 times, and the cumulative topic reads on Weibo has exceeded 16,600,000.
A Greater Familiarity with the Airport
Kenneth is very happy about the success of the series and hopes to be able to do something again, dispelling the boring sentiment: "When it came out, some people said, 'It's very boring with Ma Ming again'. Now, the good ratings represent that there are still many viewers who like to watch Ma Ming. Very thankful to netizens for leaving messages of support on social media. I am also very touched to have a group of fans who support me". He even expressed that he is even more proud of the Hong Kong International Airport after the filming: "After filming, have a stronger feeling about the airport. There's a great sense of familiarity. Going to the airport again has the feeling of going home. The series made me know a lot more about the airport, and I am proud that Hong Kong has this international airport that belongs to us". Sisley is also grateful for the good ratings: "Hope that the viewers felt relaxed after watching it and broadened their knowledge about the greatness of the airport".
Samantha Ko and Tony Hung's Continuous Love
Samantha believes that the good ratings of "Airport" represent a good start to the new year. She pointed out that this series only had ten episodes, but it was filmed on real locations at the airport for three months. The production time was quite long...believe that the viewers could also see the care that was put in the production. Along with the realistic story, she has confidence that it will make even more viewers like this type of realistic series.
In the series, Samantha and Tony play an airport passenger services manager and a security manager respectively. The two's romantic storyline left a deep impression. Tony has always been by Samantha's side, supporting her in fighting with her ex-husband for custody of her child, and even being persistent in pursuing her. Samantha particularly likes this romantic storyline; she finds it warm and light and would make people smile.
Tiffany Lau Taking on the Challenge of Being a Pilot
Tiffany Lau just won the 'Most Improved Female Artiste' at the "TV Awards Presentation". She, who acted as a flight attendant in "Airport" was called the 'Prettiest Flight Attendant' by netizens. She expressed that she was extremely happy during the filming process and hopes that there can be sequel and to be able to play a flight attendant again or take on the challenge playing a pilot: "Did not expect the response to playing a flight attendant this time to be so good. Very thankful for everyone for thinking that I resembled [one]; this is the happiest thing as an actor". She also said that, after filmimg, there is an increased sense of familiarity with the airport: "The Hong Kong airport is really very pretty. Next time, when travelling to another country, will go to the airport earlier to admire it".

Ali Lee Coming Out the Freezer to Film a Comedy with Shaun Tam

Ali [Lee], who has already not filmed a series for over two years, has some good news circulating recently. It is known that she will collaborate with TV king Shaun Tam in the TVB comedy "Mahjong Orchestra" at the end of March! This series is a story about mahjong and music. Ali, who plays a woman in charge of the finances of a mahjong parlour, has a bold personality; she and her boss and single father Shaun are a bickering pair, even developing a romantic storyline. Rosita Kwok, who is getting promoted by TVB, is playing Shaun's daughter. This is the first time that Ali and Shaun are collaborating in a series. If Ali decides to not renew her contract in the end, "Mahjong" will be her last work in TVB.

on.cc contacted Ali [today] about the matter of getting 'unfrozen' and joining a series crew. She admitted that she would be filming a new series, and expressed via text message, "Thanks! I haven't looked at the entire script yet, but looking forward to the new role!" She also left a smiley face emoji; it seems that she is happy that she has finally gotten her wish to film a series. As for Shaun, he is also looking forward to collaborating with his new partner, Ali. He said, "Have looked at the script. Think that this bickering pair should be a lot of fun. Moses Chan and Jessica Hsuan Fall in Love Again, Brothers Him Law and Bosco Wong Fall Out

Moses Chan was officially notified earlier that he will be filming the new Shaw Brothers series "Law Enforcers" with Bosco Wong, Kenneth Ma, and Him Law. It is reported that, after playing a lawyer in the series "Will Power" ten years ago, Moses will play a legal officer again. The series is scheduled to start filming before the Lunar New Year.
Jessica Hsuan has been invited to join, developing a romantic storyline with [Moses]. Apart from Jessica, Moses will also have many scenes with Kenneth, who is playing an important member of the ICAC.
Kenneth Ma Joins to Battle in Acting
As for Him, who has not released a series for about two years, he played a rich second generation villain for the first time when filming "Modern Dynasty: The Successor" last year, and he previously jokingly said that he is already expecting that, after the series airs, he may he 'so detestable that the entire street will yell at [him]'. In "Law", he is not 'turning over a new leaf', playing a law enforcement officer who becomes evil due to being fixated on his own opinions. Although he and his superior, Bosco, have a deep brotherhood, they eventually go their separate ways, forming an opposing situation. The character changes are full of layers; it is believed that enough preparatory work has to be done beforehand to be able to handle it.
It is reported that the filming period of the 25-episode "Law" will last three months, and it is expected to wrap up as soon as May. The entire series is filming in Hong Kong. At the same time, the series crew has invited Lawrence Ng to join to 'command the big picture' to accommodate the performance of the 'four males and one female'. The cast alone is already a rare sight in recent years, and the production fee is naturally very considerable!
