Artistes Nancy Wu and Lai Lok Yi attended TVB's 'Long Service and Outstanding Employee Awards Presentation' dinner tonight. The two were awarded a 20-year service award. He pointed out that they were classmates in the same training class. Lok Yi laughingly said, "Many people are very surprised to hear that becsuse Nancy has kept herself well...seems to have been in the industry for a few years". He revealed that he was very mischievous in the training class back then. Got discovered by the director that they weren't rehearsing their scenes and just thought about playing. Stuck duct tape all over the face, and said that he had a part in testing out the studio and lighting when TVB moved from Clear Water Bay to Tseung Kwan O, which is also considered a contribution.
Nancy recalled when she acted with Lok Yi in an ancient series exam. After hearing this, Lok Yi laughed at himself, "I probably didn't do that well because Nancy had a role as soon as she debuted, while I still had nothing to do for many years". Nancy believes that everyone has a different path. She is happy that he is doing what he wants to do: "I had a couple drinks at home one day, and saw a programme that was hosted by him. I immediately gave him a voice recording. When I first met him, didn't think that his cooking skills would be so good; now, he can use this aspect in his work. Lok Yi said that her voice during the voice recording had quite a bit of feeling in it: "She did a few recordings. Each recording was two or three minutes. Most of the time, when the recordings are so long, it's not a good thing. It turned out that she was encouraging me. I will keep these recordings. When I interview her in the future, will release these recordings".
Talking about Nancy being in the industry for 20 years, what goals does she still have? Nancy said that, seeing Lok Yi have a successful career, as well as a family and children, she hopes that she can also be as successful as he is in the future. Asking Lok Yi if he would introduce some hot property to her, he said, "She doesn't need me to introduce; she has a lot to choose from". He suddenly revealed that he already liked Nancy when he was in the training class: "But I kept it very deep in my heart. Didn't say it all this time. Nancy said that the two have left a friendship and beautiful campus memories.
