"Big White Duel II" Criticized for Sensationalism After Mainland Broadcast, Roger Kwok Praises Subject Matter as Being Worthy of Attention, Natalie Tong Says That Viewers Have Not Understood the Character's Pain
Roger Kwok, Natalie Tong, Moses Chan, Kelly Cheung, Kenneth Ma, Nancy Wu, et al. attended the premiere event of TVB's new series, "Big White Duel II", at a mall in Diamond Hill the night before.
Regarding it being said that "Big II" is inferior and not as good to watch as its first installment, Roger expressed that it was a matter of opinion. This installment discusses the issue of an open drug formulary, which is worth paying attention to; many people may not feel that it is related to them. He stars in "Communion" and "Big II", which are occupying two time slots. Roger said, "I am rarely in the situation where I am competing with myself. Hope that the viewers stay and watch me for two hours. The ratings of 'Communion' were close to 20 points last week. Hope that the ratings of the two time slots will increase. Have confidence in 'Big II'".
Wife Cindy Au Bans the Filming of Intimate Scenes
Roger plays a couple with Kelly in the seeies, joking that his wife, Cindy Au, does not allow the filming of intimate scenes, so [he] and Kelly have a romance with their eyes, and it was already overflowing with love. [He] especially likes the two's wedding scene; Kelly did not wear high heels for him. Kelly's long-haired look has received the praise of netizens as the return of a goddess. She thinks that [she] is a goddess whether [she has] long hair or short hair. Regarding it being said that it was lacking as Ali Lee did not perform in the second installment, Kelly said, "She was mentioned in the dialogue. It's an open ending".
Surprised That Viewers Focused on Romantic Storylines
Regarding the alleged dislike for the dramatic personality change in her character in this installment, Natalie said that she understands that viewers have not understood the pain of a woman losing her baby twice, so [she] does not want to face her other half, which has made [them] think that the character is unlikable. "I have a friend who had this experience before; thus, after looking at the script, [I] really understood the character's feelings. Did put [my] friend's views and feelings into the character. Understand that viewers really want 'So Yi' and 'Tong Ming' (played by Kenneth) to get married. Would be extremely disappointed about losing this hope".
Regarding the complaints about the complicated romantic storylines in the series, Moses believes that there are many actors, so there would naturally be many romantic storylines. There were many professional doctors assisting during filming. It is surprising that viewers put the focus on the romantic storylines. "I think that it was filmed quite well. Used a lot of music and atmospheric packaging, which resonates with people somewhat".
Moses Chan Encouraging Swimsuit for Natalie Tong to Celebrate Good Ratings
Moses wore a linen shirt, and his body could be faintly seen. [He] laughingly said that it was not intentional, but [he] has to do [his] best to increase the ratings. If the ratings are good, will tell Natalie to wear a swimsuit to celebrate. Natalie expressed having to give the responsibility of being sexy to Moses, and wanted to see Moses only wearing bike shorts to celebrate. Moses expressed having gotten a lot more muscular recently, as [he] is getting fit for the new series in which he is working with his wife, Aimee Chan. "[My] wife has been training very hard...almost has six-pack abs. I also have to have some things to see".
