In the evening of April 1st, 2003, HKCEE examinee 'Tong Ka Po' (唐家寶) learned that the superstar Leslie Cheung committed suicide by jumping from a building. As a loyal fan, 'Po' went to mourn her idol with flowers. 'Po' meets her crush, 'Au Ka Ming' (區家明), and they start a conversation but get interrupted by her friends, 'Tong Yan' (唐昕), 'Lee Ching Yi' (李靜兒), and 'Lam Siu Mei' (林小美). That night, it was a mixed bag for 'Po': the idol she admired the most suddenly passed away, and the guy she has had a crush on for a long time spoke his first words to her. 'Po' begins to understand that the world may be so unpredictable......

'Po', 'Yan', 'Yi', and 'Mei' are good friends, proclaiming that they would stand by one another through anything and would never be separated. After the HKCEE results were released, 'Yan' became a top 9A student, while 'Yi' had average grades and voluntarily repeated a year. 'Mei', who had the worst grades, felt a sense of relief and decided to join the work force, while 'Po' went to the Sixth Form without a hitch at the school she was attending and dated 'Ming' during the summer holiday. 'Po' stood out in a campus belle competition held by a magazine, gaining the favour of many advertisers. While studying, [she] shot ads in her spare time to help out her family; however, her relationship with 'Ming' gradually drifted apart.....

Whenever the four friends encounter happy or bad things, they would gather at 「民記冰室」 to share and support one another. They never thought that, one day, they would turn against one another and go their separate ways for something that makes one toss and turn even more than money and guys: it was jealousy......
