- The series uses the work of different customs departments as its backbone, and it will also talk about two types of training processes for customs officers: one is for those who have just graduated and are taking the customs examination, while the other is for trainees with on-the-job experience.
- The series will also talk about the family and partners of customs officers. The Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) is a gatekeeper for Hong Kong and also a gatekeeper of the home in private. The story will talk about the details of their lives, such as getting along with their families, all the stresses they encounter in life, etc.
- Benjamin Yuen will play Hoi Fung (海鋒), a Senior Superintendent of the Intellectual Property Investigation Bureau (IPIB). He is more of the controller in the office. Outside of work, he is very meticulous, fun, and communicates well with his subordinates. He and Mandy Wong are a talented couple of the C&ED; they are an old married couple that dated for many years and then got married, so there are no passionate scenes.
- Mandy will play Kwan Pui Yan (關佩欣), a Senior Superintendent of the Trade Descriptions Investigation Bureau (TDIB). Her department is more easygoing and amiable, as she is more in contact with the citizens and things that people usually encounter in their daily lives. He is an ordinary little woman. She experiences a miscarriage.
- Venus will play Wan Chi Kei (溫芷祺), a Senior Superintendent of the Customs Drug Investigation Bureau (CDIB) who shows no mercy when yelling at her subordinates. She is super upright. She is mean and arrogant. She does not know how to get along with people and frequently yells at people but is competent, has good results, and is a good fighter. She is Carlos Chan's superior.
- Carlos will play Chan Ka Hing, a Probationary Inspector of Police. Benjamin is mainly responsible for taking care of him. He is originally self-centred and does not like teamwork, but after meeting Benjamin, he comes to believe that every job requires a team, and you cannot simply rely on yourself. He has a romantic storyline with Moon Lau. Moon is the first person who causes him to change; she is the one who makes him believe that there are friends who can help, and she becomes his first friend.
- Moon will play Fong Ching Long (方晴朗), a Probationary Inspector of Police of the CDIB. She and Carlos are good friends. She and Telford Wong are a married couple with a son; she got married after graduating from university and had a child. She is a young mother juggling her career and family. She is more mature and brings positive energy to everyone.
- Karl Ting will play Yip King On, a customs officer for training who has a lot of dreams. He is quite cool. He, Tiffany Lau, and Danny Hung join the Customs College together and become friends. After graduating, he follows Benjamin. He and Tiffany Lau have a brotherhood, but they also have a chance at becoming a couple. He is also called 'KO'.
- Tiffany Lau will play Bat Ting Fei (畢庭菲), a customs officer for training. She is physically weak and makes unintentional mistakes. She, Karl, and Danny are involved in a slight love triangle.
- Danny will play Cheuk Nam (卓嵐), a customs officer for training.
- Yoyo Chen will play Yip Kai On (葉佳安), a member of the TDIB. She is tough and capable but has the heart of a young girl on the inside. She and C Kwan are a couple; she falls in love with him at first sight. She is also called 「姑媽」.
- C Kwan will play a Chief Customs Officer of the IPIB. He is in Benjamin's team. He is an outstanding person.
- Jack Wu will play Alvin, a doctor. He has romantic storyline with Venus.
- Mark Ma will play Sam Wai Yip (岑偉業), a lawyer who is borh good and evil. He is Gabriel Harrison's brainy underling. He is a good person, but he is also a scoundrel. Sophie Yip is his girlfriend; because of her, he works for Gabriel.
- Joey Law will play Marcus Si Lap Yin (施立言), an Assistant Superintendent of the CDIB. He is very upright. He follows Venus, and he is on her side.
- Yeung Chiu Hoi will play Cheung Chi Kwan (張智軍), an Assistant Superintendent of the C&ED. He is a member of the TDIB. He is also called 「將軍」.
- Mary Hon will play Telford's mother.
- Elvina Kong will play Carlos' mother.
- Stefan Wong will play 「溫Sir」. He has relations with Venus.
- Gabriel will play a major antagonist.
- Arnold Kwok will play Gabriel's competent underling who is responsible for fighting and killing. Mark and Fred Cheung come up with ideas, and they always take the credit, so he is always jealous.
- Telford will play a firefighter in the C&ED. He is Moon's lover.
- Patrick Lam will play a Senior Superintendent of the CDIB.
- Eddie Pang will play a bad person who deals narcotics. He gets arrested by Venus.
- Fred will play Gabriel's underling. He is a rather brainy bad guy, but he is also very loyal.
- Candy Man will play Benjamin's family member.
- Alvin Ng will play Tai Po Man (戴保文), a customs officer of the TDIB.
- Man Yeung will play 「翁Sir」, an instructor at the Hong Kong Customs College.
- Lau Tin Lung will play an instructor at the Hong Kong Customs College.
- Lam King Kong will play an instructor at the Hong Kong Customs College.
- Parkman Wong will play Benjamin's family member.
- Bryan Pun will play San Wing Kit (申永傑), an instructor at the Hong Kong Customs College. He is also called 「申Sir」.
- Derek Wong will play Chiu Chi Lung (趙子龍), a customs officer of the IPIB. He follows Benjamin.
- June Ng will play Law On Yi (羅安兒), a member of the IPIB. She is also called 「撻沙」.
- Chloe Nguyen will play a customs officer who follows Benjamin.
- Kelvin Chan is originally in Benjamin's team, but he later switches to being a customs dog handler.
- Carmaney Wong will play Tong Ka Ming (湯家明), an Assistant Superintendent of the Unfair Trade Practice Investigation Group (UTP). She is the Madam of the team. She is obsessed with looking beautiful, and is very cool and tough. She is Benjamin's right-hand woman.
- Jarryd Tam will play Lee Man On (利民安) a Sergeant of the UTP. He is also called 'Leon Sir'.
- Ken Law will play Rock, a customs officer of the UTP. He is also called 'Rock Sir'.
- Keith Ng will play a member of the CDIB.
- Kenneth Fok will play a member of the CDIB.
- Lucas Yiu will play Sky, a member of the CDIB.
- Ivan Yau will play Hung Chi Lit (熊致烈), who is a member the CDIB.
- Karlie Chung will play Money Chui Man Lei (崔敏利), who is a member the CDIB.
- Joey Mak will play Sophie, a member of the TDIB.
- Sophie will play Mark's girlfriend. She talked when she was in school but did not talk when she got older. There are many scenes where she is in a coma.
- Terrence Huang will play Mak Hong Man (麥康文), a member of the TDIB.
- Matthew Chu will play 「恆仔」, a member of the UTP.
- Linus Ma will play Kwok Tak Ching (郭德正), who is a member the TDIB. He is also called 「正氣哥」.
