- Although the outline of the story is based on the previous blueprint, it is not entirely the same. The background of the story has been moved to Lau Fau Shan from Macau because Lau Fau Shan has retained the rural style, and the neighbourhood has a strong humane touch.
- The story background of the new version is set in the modern age with advanced technology. Deaf and mute people can speak and communicate with others by typing text into a phone; 'Chor Gor Gor' will use these technologies and retain the use of sign language to communicate with others.
- The ending of the new version will be different.
- Michelle Yim will play Chu Sa Kiu (朱莎嬌), Claire Yiu's mother and Regina Ho's maternal grandmother. When she was younger, she was a singer. Shek Sau was her loyal fan, and then they become good friends. She is also called 「Q姨」.
- Shek Sau will play Chuen Hoi King (全海景), Michelle's loyal fan. He is Michelle's confidant and is very loyal to her. He used to be rich, but because his business did not do well, he ends up having an ordinary lifestyle and becomes Michelle's neighbour. He is more cultured and refined. He is a sunny and outgoing guy, but ever since he was young, he did not have his parents beside him. Fortunately, when he goes to Hong Kong, he meets Hubert, Regina, Michelle et al., and they quickly become close. He goes to their house a lot of the time, and he fully experiences the feeling of family and harmony. He and Hubert have a deep brotherhood.
- Arnold Kwok will play Kam Sing (金勝), Hubert's good friend who is very dispirited and slovenly. He likes Regina but does no dare to express it. He rides a motorcycle.
- Rainky Wai will play Kong Yi Man (江依文), a bad girl who dares to love and hate. She and Arnold are a bickering pair. She is abjectly in love with Arnold.
- Bella Lam will play Wong Hoi Lam (汪海琳), a dried oyster girl who grew up in Lau Fau Shan. She is Regina's friend. She feels rather inferior and does not have much self-confidence. She and Alvin Ng have a moving love story. She falls in love with rich guy Alvin, and they experience a lot of ups and downs. She wants to be Alvin's other half, but Claire makes it difficult for her. She is considered to be a poor person, so Claire is not willing to be her mother-in-law.
- Alvin will play Man Pui Kin (萬沛堅), the son of Vincent and Claire. He is a bully. He is very upright, honest, and does things by the rules. He and Bella are performing a love story between a rich guy and a poor girl. Bella is his true love, but he later has a wife. He and Mandy Yuen get married unwillingly, so there are no feelings between them.
- Claire will play Man Chu Sa Wah (萬朱莎華), an overbearing rich lady. She is a career woman who is the most eager to win. She will continue saying her golden phrase, "I, Man Chu Sa Wah, am the most reasonable (我萬朱莎華最講道理)!"
- Vincent Lam will play Man Sai Kwong (萬世光), Claire's husband. He is a slightly uncultured nouveau riche who will do things by fair means or foul to get what he wants; however, in the end, Claire is the thief in the family who is difficult to detect. He has a pretty and mean wife but is also lucky in love. His daughter, Judy Kwong is the apple of his eye.
- Gabriel Harrison will play Chuk Chin Fai (祝展輝), Regina's father. He and Akina Hong are a married couple.
- Akina will play Ma Bing Sam (馬冰心), Gabriel's good wife.
- Judy will play Man Pui Kei (萬沛琪), the daughter of Vincent and Claire. She dares to love and hate and is slightly coquettish. She has a slight one-sided love for Joey. She is Alvin's younger sister.
- Lee Lung Kei will play Bella's father. He is a Lau Fau Shan neighbour friend.
- Lau Kwai Fong will play Bella's mother. She is a Lau Fau Shan neighbour friend.
- Terence Tung will play an antagonist who is always going around bullying others.
- Eddie Ho will play a Lau Fau Shan neighbour.
- William Chu will play Osanna Chiu's husband. Shek Sau is his father.
- Kinlas Chan will play Terence's underling. He is an antagonist.
- Terrence Huang will play Terence's underling. He is an antagonist.
- Andy Lin will play Judy's good friend. He is an antagonist.
- Ka Chun will play a Lau Fau Shan neighbour.

- Strawberry Yeung is the most ruthless. She poisoned Hubert, which caused him to become mute.

Personal Note: The series is set in 2021, but everyone's styling was so old-fashioned.... o_O
It was previously reported that the character setup for 'Chu Sa Kiu' had been changed from 'Chor Gor Gor''s adoptive mother to his paternal grandmother, but Michelle was still being referred to as 'Aunt Q', and she did not have an aged up look....
