TV king Joel Chan will be partnering with Benjamin Yuen, Cheung Wing Hong, Elaine Yiu, Jacky Cai, Kelly Fu, et al. to film Chung Shu Kai's new TVB series, "Anti-Crime Heroes", in the middle of next month. In the series, Joel is playing a law enforcement officer. It is known that Benjamin's character has the greatest breakthrough, playing the major antagonist for the first time. As for Elaine, she is playing a triad boss lady for the first time.
This time, the female lead is Jacky. Joel said that it is the first time collaborating with her...hope to be able to create sparks. Asked if he has to train his body, he said, "Also have to train...run a bit! Also don't have to train for a six-pack. Acting comes first for us, not the abs, and I also don't have enough time...have to spend the summer holiday with my son".
Benjamin has already not filmed a series for two years. Apart from the attraction of the team this time, the script is the biggest factor for him to film. Benjamin said, "The script this time is extremely good. Now, will start working after being done with preparing my wife's and my own affairs. Playing a major antagonist this time...really have not done it before. It's different from the psychiatrist and 'Tin Tong Gor' in the past. This time, the role is very real and a lot of fun. Antagonists have always had a lot to do and are more fun than the good characters. I have also been looking forward to it for a long time. All is ready".
The other female lead, Elaine, is playing a triad boss lady for the first time in the series. Elaine said, "This time, this big sister-in-law does not have much of a triad flavour...is knowledgeable and educated. (Do you have to fight?) I don't know yet, but I think that, being a big sister-in-law, should have many underlings. Shouldn't have to fight, but also have to receive the script before knowing!" As for filming a series with her brothers, Elaine also said that she is very happy: "Certainly happy! Well, they are also all my brothers and sisters. Collaborated with Joel the most, but don't know if there are scenes together this time. I also rarely work with [Benjamin]. The happiest thing this time is being able to work with Director Kai; he is a great producer and director...see if there will be a sense of novelty for my role this time".
