Before entering the industry, Tsui Wing was a delivery driver with a good income. Because of the economic crisis in 1997, his company closed down, so he applied for TVB's Assistant Screenwriting-Directing Class, but was not accepted; however, he was accepted into the Acting Class.
2002's "Blade Heart" was the first time in which Tsui Wing's character was in the series bible (a series bible, used internally, contains the story synopsis, character introductions, character relationships, and other information).
When Jonathan Chik approached Tsui Wing about "When Heaven Burns", he told him that there was a shirtless scene, and that the series would be filming in a month. Thus, in the end, Tsui Wing used a month to get fit by jogging and dieting, losing 16 pounds in one month.
Personal Note: Nice to see TW gaining more prominent roles! Hope that more and more people not only recognize him for his characters, but also know him by his real name! :)
Funny how the reporter mentioned that she had no recollection of TW in "Dance of Passion" because the character who stood out the most back then was six-pack Kenny Wong! :P

ReplyDeleteThis shows that TW is very committed and his hard work did show because he looked fit in that one scene. :)
I hope that he will get more recognition!
