Steven is number one already, and "A Watchdog's Tale" has just aired its first episode! Yay! Steven was also on "Book of Words", and he is very familiar with Chinese words. He he.... :D
Summary from a ChinaPress article:
Steven Ma Will Get Married Next Year or in 2011?
Steven said, "I was on Mak Ling Ling's show, and she said that I will have a 'flash marriage' in two years, and my other half will be an ex-girlfriend or a girl I haven't known for that long. But right now, I do not have a girlfriend!"
Playing Villain to Strive for 'TV King'
Steven also expressed that, next year, he will have a representative role that will allow him to strive for the title as 'TV King'. TVB is in the process of a tailor-made villain role with different levels for Steven to jump out of the box!
Steven will also return to the music industry next year, and he hopes that he will have three to five months to work on this album.
Personal Note: Steven is definitely going to play a villain next year, but will it be an ancient or modern series? It doesn't matter because 2010 should be a big year for Steven because he has three series set for broadcast, he will be hosting a cooking show, releasing an album, and holding a mini concert as well. :D

Oh wow! I was thinking that TVB was really going to start promoting him more since he got into the top 5 for Best Actor. I love it though because I feel that he's underrated and a really good actor as long as he's given the right role.
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm also excited for his cd. But I thought he had a long-term girlfriend?
i wonder what music company will steven sign with to release his album? or will he release under tvb?
ReplyDeleteTo AC:
ReplyDeleteSteven and his Taiwan girlfriend have broken up for a while now. I remember him mentioning it in that Mak Ling Ling article in July. http://hyn5-hyn5.blogspot.com/2009/07/steven-ma-mak-ling-ling-interview.html

I haven't heard what company will be releasing his album yet. :)
hey, sorry but what is he voted number 1 for?
ReplyDeleteOOH... thanks! now I can dream of him and Tavia getting together because I think they would make a really cute couple. haha (i've been thinking about that since the tavia's bra story)
ReplyDeleteSteven maintains his #1 ranking two in a row in tvbblog.
ReplyDeleteAnd Watchdog's epi 1 average rating was 32 points.
Go, Steven, go!
Yay!

ReplyDeleteSteven's TVB blog is number one at tvb.com. He is still number one today. :)
To AC:
His ex-girlfriend still has a chance though! :D

Yes, Cha Siu Yan said that the first episode of "A Watchdog's Tale" received an average of 32 points. :D
Steven should get an award for his efforts in 2009/2010. Being so active with 3 series to be broadcast. So far, the ones that have been shown already have great response from the audiance. Always looking forward to see his acting. As for his music... really looking forward to see what kind of material he is releasing or is it a compilation of tvb songs from his series.
ReplyDeleteI heard it would be Mandarin versions of his tvb songs cause a mainland company bought the copyrights for Ghost Writer theme and wants to make a mandarin version. Though I really hope it's a full new Cantonese album.
ReplyDeletewow it'd be awesome if Steven wins it this year! I was so sure they're give it to Raymond Lam this year since how the articles have mentioned the battle between Wayne, Raymond, and Moses. But the thing is Wayne and Moses bought won already so their chances are slimmer. Sorry, but I really don't like Raymond Lam and Ron's acting and the personality that's shown offscreen =/
ReplyDeleteI agree that Steven's be really underrated these few years his series has had solid/steady rating in the 30s yet he rarely gets mentioned when award ceremony kicks in.
I'm glad someone at TVB finally noticed his stereotyped roles and how he's always playing the good guy or the son of someone and has never ever played a villain role before! A tailor made role would be just the right thing to get him outside the box. He really needs to be given more variety/challenging roles to prove his versatility as an actor.
I also don't get why they've never given Steven a mature role or a character that's closer to his actual age. He's mostly give immature roles in series which is getting really boring.
ReplyDeleteOh wow I didn't know Watchdog Tales wasn't aired in HK yet cause it was released overseas and online a while ago!

ReplyDeleteActually, this post was from December 29, 2009. When Steven's TVB blog first got number one, only a week of "Watchdog" was aired.
