Svenson Healthy Hair Award: Moses Chan

Personal Note: Congratulations to all of the winners, even though some are more deserving than others. Special shout out to Charmaine for making it in the top 10 for nine consecutive years! Just one more year and she will be tied with Bobby! She is definitely going to break Bobby's record for consecutively being in top 10. :)

Extremely happy that Ron is back in the top 10! I personally think that he could have placed a couple of spots higher though. He he.... :P

IMO, Myolie Wu should have taken Bosco Wong's place. Her performance in "A Chip Off the Old Block" received more positive feedback compared to Bosco's performance in "Burning Flame III".

Like many, I was quite surprised that Michael Tse did not make it into the top 10. Laughing Gor is more popular than Michael Tse. This proves that the HK audience is easy at forgetting. On the other hand, Susan Tse is popular, as voters love her and her characters!

Raymond Lam did not make it into the top 10 because he did not have any series aired in 2009. He was nominated for 'Svenson Healthy Hair Award' alongside Bowie Lam, Moses Chan, and Michael Tse. Moses is the spokesperson for this product. ;)

Ngo Ka Nin should have won 'Most Promising Male Artiste' over William Chan. He thinks he is so good at singing, dancing, and acting. 懶巴閉! Yet, he does not excel in any of those. He is especially not good at responding to questions. He should think before he answers questions regarding other people.

Quite calm!! (Referring to Ma Ming being calm.)

Kenneth: "That's more like it with all those privileges".

(Selena laughs)

Scene 2

Scene 3

Producer Nelson Cheung Thinks Highly of Tavia Yeung and Kenneth Ma

CREDIT IF REPOSTED

nelson_cheung

Nelson Cheung Kin Man entered TVB in 1985, and was promoted to a producer position in 1989. His works include "One Step Beyond", "Love Is Beautiful", "Dicey Business", "D.I.E.", "You're Hired", etc., which have received ideal ratings and positive feedback.

tavia_maming

When mentioning current rising artistes, Nelson believes that, out of the new siu sangs, Kenneth Ma's acting is the most sturdy. Out of the new fa dans, he thinks highly of Tavia Yeung. He said, "I have worked with many of the new siu sangs, and they all have their own charisma. However, when it comes to acting, it is definitely Kenneth who is the most sturdy. Perhaps it is because he knows he has to take the road of a character actor. As for new fa dans, Tavia is a working solider type whom you can mold and flatten. You can give her any character, and she will play it to the best of her ability for you. I have watched her improve step by step".

Related post: Producer Wong Wai Sing Thinks Highly of Kenneth Ma and Tavia Yeung

Personal Note: The same siu sang and fa dan received praises from TVB producers! Yeah! :D

Also, Nelson has worked with all of the five new siu sangs (i.e., Raymond Lam, Sammul Chan, Bosco Wong, Kenneth Ma, and Ron Ng). ;) However, he hasn't worked with many new fa dans.

Adam Ip: "You are a brave detective, yet you are wiping down tables and chairs!"

Narrator: "Courageous and excels in battles. He is fearless!"

Joe Ma: "They should be making the deal any time soon".

Frankie Lam Names Daughter's Chinese Name 「天若」

CREDIT IF REPOSTED

frankie_kenix

Frankie Lam and Kenix Kwok became parents in January, and the two were overjoyed about having a daughter. Frankie accepted a radio interview from Cha Siu Yan yesterday, and he revealed that he has named his daughter 'Lam Tin Yeuk' (林天若). He said, "It is 'Tin Yeuk' as in 'if heaven has feelings'. I think it sounds nice, and it is tender, and not many people has this name".

Frankie admits that he is the loving father type, and he cannot stand to see his daughter cry. He will instantly go to her and soothe her. Frankie said, "The previous day, I went out and returned home later in the day. Kenix told me that she was crying. Kenix allowed her to cry for 45 minutes, and told me not to to feel painful after hearing it". When asked if Kenix would be jealous of Frankie loving their daughter so much, Frankie said, "No, as they are both my babies". Frankie laughingly said that, one day, he told his daughter that, when she grows up and goes to a Christmas party, all she has to do is tell him, and he will not bother her. However, he will watch her from afar to make sure everything is okay. (Did Kenix laugh at you for being ill after hearing this?) Frankie said, "I am just worried that my daughter will be deceived".

Socialize with 'Shrimp Dumpling Boy' When Grown Up

Kelly Chen once told her son 'Shrimp Dumpling Boy' to pursue Frankie's daughter. Frankie said, "We must allow the next generation to have their freedom to develop. 'Shrimp Dumpling Boy' is very adorable, so we will have to wait until they grow up to see if there is a chance for them to socialize. Then we will know whether 'If Heaven has Shrimp Dumpling' is possible!"

Personal Note: 林天若, 天若, 天若 sounds very nice! :D I wonder what English name did Frankie and Kenix give her?

Kevin Cheng & Kenneth Ma: Male Charisma

CREDIT IF REPOSTED

kevincheng_mamingkevinchengmaming

Two big men like Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma can talk about work, rumours, women, having children, and everything from all over the world, and laugh about it afterward. This pair of good brothers are two of a kind, praising each other, "He really is handsome" and "He is very sweet". They are both stubborn toward work, but they have different likings toward women. Therefore, they will not fight over the same girl, and it will not hurt their friendship.

Kevin Cheng = KC
Kenneth Ma = KM

How They See One Another

Kevin Cheng and Kenneth Ma's 'brother fate' began during "Strictly Come Dancing II". At that time, they were not acquainted. It was not until "A Fistful of Stances", where they play brothers, that their friendship grew stronger, and that they were able to recognize one another's charisma.

KC: "For a guy, Ma Ming is a very sweet, a very cute, and a very simple big kid. He likes soccer and cars. And it is very easy for others to like him. He is passionate and stubborn about his work, and this stubbornness is his positive trait, and it is also his negative trait, so it can bring trouble to his work. I also have this stubbornness; that is why we are quite compatible. Ma Ming is at the stage where he is 'building construction'. Once that opportunity arrives, he will be able to grasp onto it. Chai Gau (Wayne Lai) waited for many years until now, so Ma Ming's wait shouldn't be long!"

KM: "The Kevin Cheng in my eyes is that, before I worked with him, I had already heard many things about him, and they were usually about how troublesome he was, and that he was very hard to work with. Back then, when I hadn't known him yet, he would look very cool at big variety shows, and he wouldn't say much. It was as though he had 'closed a gate'. He looked very arrogant, and he looked as though he was very hard to get along with. It wasn't until the filming of 'A Fistful of Stances' that people around me told me 'he is quite hard to get along with', but after spending time together, I quickly changed my opinion about him. It is actually a misunderstanding and bias that the outside world has on Kevin. Like he said, maybe it is because we have this stubbornness of an actor; that is why we are very compatible. But, when I wasn't acquainted with him, I thought he was mystical. In particular, juniors like me were afraid of saying the wrong thing, and didn't know if he would get mad. But, after knowing him, I found out that Kevin is a very professional actor. Maybe the outside world is focusing on his handsome looks. I, too, think that he is very handsome, but I hope that the audience is able to see that his acting is good, and not only focus on the surface. Working in 'A Fistful of Stances' this time, he had a few scenes that were very memorable to me".

KC: "I don't agree with that I am mystical (laughs), but I am very slow-warming. Ma Ming is slow-warming, but I am slower compared to him. When facing people whom I am not familiar with, I will not take the initiative to make the first move, and I don't know what to say. That is why it gives people the impression of a wall blocking the way. Ma Ming and I are compatible because we are two of a kind. We both have temperaments of an artist, and we both see acting as an art. We both have high standards in analyzing characters and the script. There are times when our stubbornness makes us believe that our thinking is for the best, but it's not like we don't listen to others; as long as the other party has our trust, don't go around and give opinions when you 'do not have the material'.

KM: "Yes! Veterans whom I admire will give opinions, and I will take them to heart. Just like Kevin said, if I see who acts and 'does not have the material' but is teaching me how to act, I would say to myself, 'Don't tease me'".

Kevin Loves a Challenge; Ma Ming Likes Good Girls

Apart from work, the two guys would talk about girls. Ma Ming exposed that Kevin loves challenging girls. Kevin expressed that Ma Ming likes good girls. The tastes are different, so no fighting for the same girl.

KM: "I clearly understand Kevin's taste [in girls]".

KC: "I, too, know your taste! Ha ha! He likes good girls!"

KM: "Kevin likes girls with a challenge! The girls whom he likes are girls who, in the eye of an average guy, are difficult to pursue. That is why we would not fight for the same girl. I do not like to challenge the difficult. I like to go toward the challenge of comfortable. There are times when we see girls [walk by], and I would ask Big Brother (Kevin) for his opinion. I would ask him, 'Big Brother, is this one okay?', and he would say, 'Your taste! Sigh!'"

KC: "Well, it's not like that. Ma Ming likes good girls who are nice!"

KM: "Kevin likes the challenging type, and when he doesn't talk, he gives off an arrogant feeling. Vice versa, I believe that in many girls' eyes, he is quite challenging. Many girls would feel that he is a 'good catch'. He is difficult; not any girl who pursues him will succeed. Although saying 'girls pursuing guys separate the heavy gauze', pursuing Kevin is not an easy task. Like his work, he also has high standards for girls".

KC: "Love goes both ways. You pick people, and people pick you. They will have high standards for you, too. It must complement one another. Is the success rate of me pursuing girls high? I am often the one being pursued. Ha ha ha! I am not easy to pursue! Take that! Just joking!"

Can the challenging girl and good girl be their rumoured girlfriends, Charmaine Sheh and Nancy Wu? After hearing these two names, the both of them became more serious. When asked about how they would describe their relationship with Charmaine and Nancy, the two brothers said that they are friends. Kevin added, "Colleagues plus friends. It has never changed".

The Good and Bad of Rumours

Having been in the industry for many years, and when faced with rumours, it can be troubling. At first, they resisted it, but are now slowly accepting the fact, so it will not frustrate and hurt them.

KC: "The outside world is more concerned about the private life of people from the industry. There are times when it is real, and there are times when it is fake! I do not have to state which is real and which is fake. Ha ha! I understand readers' point of view, but we would like to protect our personal space. If two people from the industry start dating, people will then focus on their love life, and their hard work will be neglected. If the other half is not from the industry, then it will give the other person pressure. They will be 'investigated' [and every little bit of them will be exposed]; not everybody is able to accept this. I will choose to protect my personal space, and it will be publicized when we are both comfortable with the situation, like getting married. But, when I have children, I would be afraid of exposure. If ransom happens, who would be to blame? I am thinking very far, but I hope that even if they do get photographed in the future, I would like their faces to be blurred out!"

KM: "I used to resist rumours. Whether they were real or fake, I resisted them. It wasn't until a veteran told me that it's a sign of acceptance in this industry. Now, I am okay with it as long as it isn't written too out of proportion, and I will treat it as news. Artistes also want to have a love life, meet girls, and develop to the next stage. The worst is when starting off as friends, but the media has already blown it out of proportion saying that they are married, pregnant, or even saying that the girl is being cheated. Things like that wouldn't be good, so it is quite difficult for a normal development".

KC: "Even going out to dinner together is considered dating. Everybody would be scared of you! Would any girl dare to go out one-on-one with you? These things are uncontrollable. But, I am focusing on my career. Men are better than women because we can have kids at an older age. Love and marriage cannot be rushed. My mother is not anxious, so why am I rushing? I will let nature take its course!"

KM: "I would rather be dry than promiscuous. My mother has never rushed me. All she says is that she doesn't have enough money to use. Super cute".

KC: "When I get married in the future, I will definitely have children. It would be a profit if I have a cute 'Manning Girl'! Daddy will always die in the hands of his daughter. I will definitely faint under the daughter's tease".

Personal Note: Lovin' "A Fistful of Stances"! Episode 7 is a definite watch if you are a super fan of Kenneth and Selena! Super cute and super sweet! :D Can't wait for more!

"Sisters of Pearl" Trailer 1

Lau Kong: "Out of the three daughters, you are the most clever. If Ho Yuet (the jewellery company) is given to you, then I will feel assured".

Bowie Lam: "There is no reason as to why there are only benefits for your younger sister".

Kiki Sheung: "You want to get rid of me, so you can take sole control of Ho Yuet. Is that right?!"

Michael Tao: "The two sisters are feuding, so we can get more than 30 percent!"

Joyce Tang: "I am the Chu family's second wife!"

Jessica Hsuan: "Young aunt, you have planned beforehand to stay by my father's side to cheat his inheritance!"

Michael Tao: "It is your Chu family that owes me. I just want back what I deserve!"

Kiki Sheung: "That was some good acting there".

Michael Tao: "Not as good as you".

Kiki Sheung: "I don't want to treat my younger sister like that, but she is the one who offended me first".

Jessica Hsuan: "I will not allow you to obtain Ho Yuet and Chu's family!"

Michael Tao: "Everything you did is also for father-in-law's inheritance".

Jessica Hsuan: "What you see is only the surface".

Michael Tao: "There must be some unspeakable secret".

Bowie: "I've been the son-in-law of the Chu family for so many years. I don't want to end up with nothing!"

Jessica Hsuan: "Keep an eye on your husband".

Jessica Hsuan: "You swallowed his funerary object. Don't blame me!"

Michael Tao: "Are you really capable of doing anything just to compete with your sister?!"

Jessica Hsuan: "If I didn't do it, then I will have no chance!"

Kiki Sheung: "Why do you have to make Ho Yuet into a mess?!"

Jessica Hsuan: "Unless you want see him swallow the Chu family!"

Jessica Hsuan: "If I find evidence to prove that he did it, then I will definitely not let him go!"

Kiki Sheung: "Ever since you've come back, the family has not been at peace. Do you want to investigate everyone until they have a problem, and then take sole control of Ho Yuet?!"

Jessica Hsuan: "There are people around you who you think treat you well, but they may not necessarily be sincere".

Narrator: "A test to family values and love. A challenge to human nature and conscience. Scheming against one another. 'Sisters of Pearl'".

Personal Note: "Sisters of Pearl" is too dramatic to be airing at 8:30pm. TVB has too many series lined up for the 9:30pm slot.

A huge fan of the cast, but not a fan of the this genre though. Hopefully, the series will do well. :D

"Suspects in Love" Trailer 1

Narrator: "A weak woman from the massage industry. She is gentle and graceful".

Flora Chan: "Keung Gor...."

Flora Chan: "I killed someone!"

Narrator: "She is from the lower class, but her taste is high-class".

Lee Lai Lai: "She is the slut who stole our Keung Gor!"

Narrator: "She is loved by everyone, and everyone favours her!"

Flora Chan: "If you don't like me, then just say it".

Joe Ma: "We can only be good friends"

Narrator: "April 5th @ 8:30pm. 'Suspects in Love'".

Personal Note: I like how all the descriptions are the exact opposite of the scenes in the background. Ha ha..... :D Joe did say that this series is a black humour comedy. ;)

Can't wait to watch Flora! :D
